Thai ladyboys can make a living in a variety of ways. Some of them are employed in the hospitality sector, either as tour guides or in hotels and restaurants. Others work in the entertainment sector as dancers in nightclubs or as show performers. Others still earn a living by engaging in prostitution.
Due to the large number of tourists who are interested in them and are willing to pay for their services, ladyboys who work in the tourism business sometimes find it to be an easy way to generate money. Due to the large number of clubs and bars that are prepared to hire them, ladyboys who work in the entertainment business frequently have an easier time finding employment than those who do not. Additionally, even though it is illegal in Thailand, prostitution is nonetheless a common source of income for ladyboys.
